Some of you may ask, “What will the union do for me? What kind of information will it give to me?” At the same time, you will ask yourself, “What do I want to do by working at school? What kind of information do I want?” Some of you may happen to work at school. For some of you, schools may not be the place that you’ve wanted to work at.

However, you are facing children; those who are undoubtedly the future of the world and of Japan. When you think about it, you will become tense by the importance of the profession you have chosen. At the same time, you will be proud of it.

Union activities are, originally, fun. It means that you have friends who understand about you. It may look old-fashioned, but in fact it is not. There is nothing old or new in human relationships. What is important is that you can feel the warmth of your friends when you encounter difficult situations.

The happiness of not being alone depends largely upon the existence of friends. History tells us. Join JTU! We are waiting for you with the door wide open.

Children have their own characters and wish to create a school where they can learn happily with their friends. They want to love themselves and to fell the pleasure of connecting with others.

JTU would like to take their wishes seriously and, in cooperation with parents and communities, to create “open-minded schools” where children can learn, play and grow up in an animated manner.

JTU is a confederation of unions of the teaching staff working at State, public and private kindergartens, elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools, universities/colleges, technical colleges, specialized schools and other miscellaneous schools as well as of unions of the staff working at education organizations.
